FAQ

1. How long does shipping take?

  • Foldable dining tables / stacked chairs: Processing 3‑7 business days; shipping via freight 7‑20 business days (contiguous US).

  • Upholstered furniture (if applicable): Processing times may vary.

  • You will receive tracking via email.

2. What are shipping costs?
Calculated at checkout based on weight/destination. Larger items (e.g., dining tables) have separate freight charges. Free standard shipping on qualifying orders.

3. Do you ship outside the contiguous US?
Currently, only to the contiguous 48 states.

4. Do items require assembly?

  • Foldable dining tables: Yes, require assembly (attaching legs, folding mechanism). Instructions included.

  • Stacked dining chairs: Some may require assembly (attaching legs or backs), others ready to use.

  • Important: Foldable tables are typically flat‑packed. Read instructions carefully and ensure locking mechanisms are fully engaged before use.

5. What safety standards do your products meet?

Product Applicable Standards Certificate/Document
Foldable dining tables (adult/general use) General furniture stability (non‑CSU), 16 CFR 1303 (lead in coatings ≤90 ppm), CARB ATCM Phase 2 (composite wood) GCC available
Stacked dining chairs (adult/general use) General furniture stability, 16 CFR 1303, CARB Phase 2 GCC available
Children‘s folding chairs (if applicable) 16 CFR Part 1232 / ASTM F2613-19 (mandatory), CPSIA (lead, phthalates), 16 CFR 1130 (tracking labels) CPC
Upholstered/fabric chairs 16 CFR Part 1640 (flammability), FTC Textile Labeling Act (16 CFR 303), Care Labeling Rule (16 CFR 423) GCC / permanent flammability label
All furniture 16 CFR 1303 (lead in surface coatings), California Prop 65 (where applicable)

6. Are my foldable dining table or stacked chairs subject to CPSC‘s Clothing Storage Unit (CSU) anti‑tip requirements?
No. CPSC defines CSUs as free‑standing furniture with drawers and/or hinged doors, height ≥27 inches, mass ≥30 lbs, enclosed storage volume ≥3.2 cubic feet. Dining tables and chairs are not CSUs and are therefore exempt from 16 CFR Part 1261 / ASTM F2057‑23 anti‑tip requirements. However, general furniture stability standards still apply.

7. What is the mandatory safety standard for children’s folding chairs (16 CFR Part 1232)?
If your folding chairs are intended for the children‘s market (ages 12 and under) , they must comply with 16 CFR Part 1232 (based on ASTM F2613‑19). Key requirements include:

  • Latching and locking mechanisms or adequate hinge gaps (≥1/2 inch) to prevent pinch, crush, or laceration injuries to fingers, hands, toes.

  • Rearward and side stability tests.

  • Warning labels.

  • Manufacturer/importer must issue a CPC certifying compliance.

8. Do my products require a California Proposition 65 warning?
Possibly. Proposition 65 requires a “clear and reasonable” warning if a product contains any listed chemical known to cause cancer or reproductive harm above safe harbor levels. Common triggers for furniture include:

  • Lead in surface coatings (16 CFR 1303 limit is 90 ppm)

  • Phthalates (e.g., DEHP, DINP) in plastic components

  • Formaldehyde in composite wood (must meet CARB ATCM Phase 2)
When applicable, a Proposition 65 warning will be displayed on product pages and packaging.

9. Do I need a General Certificate of Conformity (GCC) for upholstered dining chairs?
Yes. For general‑use (non‑children‘s) upholstered chairs, CPSC requires a GCC certifying compliance with 16 CFR Part 1640 (flammability, based on California TB 117‑2013), 16 CFR Part 1303 (lead in coatings), and CARB ATCM Phase 2 (formaldehyde). The GCC is based on a reasonable testing program and is available upon request.

10. Do my dining chairs (non‑upholstered) require FTC care labels?
No. The FTC Care Labeling Rule (16 CFR Part 423) applies primarily to textile wearing apparel and certain piece goods. Non‑upholstered chairs generally do not require permanent care labels. However, any textile components (e.g., removable cushion covers) are subject to the rule.

11. How do I care for my foldable dining table and stacked chairs?

  • Wood: Dust with dry cloth; wipe spills immediately; use coasters; avoid direct sunlight.

  • Metal: Wipe with damp cloth; dry thoroughly.

  • Folding mechanisms: Inspect regularly; keep clean; lubricate if needed.

  • Upholstery: Vacuum regularly; spot clean with mild detergent and damp cloth; blot – do not rub.

  • Check hardware periodically; tighten if loose.

12. What payment methods do you accept?
Visa, Mastercard, Amex, Discover, PayPal, Apple Pay, and financing options (Affirm/Klarna).
